‘Strengthening’ our community ties in Paull

We've funded Paull's new outdoor gym and seating area

Through National Grid’s Community Grant Programme we have been pleased to award the Paull Community Recreation Team with £20,000 to install an outdoor gym and seating area in Paull.

The project was keen to support this initiative which will be a huge benefit to the local community. We’re always keen to back projects that aim to improve the wellbeing of people in the communities in which we operate, so we’re thrilled to have been able to help bring the outdoor gym and community space to life for the people of Paull.

Paull Community Recreation Team Chair, Bill Failey said: “The idea behind this project was to bring the community together and encourage people to get outdoors and spend time with one another. We can’t thank National Grid enough for helping us make this happen. We have thoroughly enjoyed seeing it all come together and we held a brilliant launch party for the community to celebrate the completion of our Community Area – we even arranged activities and goodie bags for local children who were very excited to play in our new space. The feedback on the trim trail and viewing platform has been amazing, everyone seems to love it and we know the new area and facilities will bring so much joy to the Paull community over the coming years”.

Paull Community Recreation Team is just one of many community organisations that we’ve supported over the course of our project. For more information on how to apply and to see if your organisation fits the criteria for funding please visit http://betl.nationalgrid.co.uk/
